Resilience Reignited

Chances are you have come across TED talks in the past. Maybe, you have watched some and perhaps you are even a bit of a TED connoisseur.

Over the past twelve months, the entire TEDxUniversityofStrathclyde team has worked tirelessly to host what may be our best Annual Ideas Conference to date!

We have handpicked all of our speakers, spending time helping them to carefully craft their talk and cultivate a full day of inspirational talks centered around our theme of Resilience Reignited.

Why did we choose this theme? Well, because every single one of us has shown great determination in overcoming the difficulties of the past 18 months. We have all demonstrated great resilience in persevering and returning to our studies. Maybe you are even coming to the University of Strathclyde for the first time. No matter how you have reignited your resilience, what better way to celebrate it than attending a conference packed full of inspirational speakers all with a unique message to share.

Innovators & Change-Makers

It doesn’t matter what you are studying or what your interests are, we have a talk that is sure to leave you ready to take action and make the changes you would like to see in the world.

Perhaps you are keen to find out how we can create resilient workers by inspiring a shared vision or how we can design sustainable cities of the future. Maybe, you are interested in seeing how those at the cutting-edge of research are contributing towards the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. Our conference has something for you!

Exclusive Opportunity

On Saturday 2nd October, you will have the chance to come and watch all of our TEDx talks being recorded – a rare opportunity!

Hosted from 9-5 pm, you will be treated to a very warm welcome from The Lord Provost of the City of Glasgow before hearing directly from our very own Principal Sir Jim McDonald.

Stay with us as we take you on a journey with our international speakers through their definition of resilience and what it means to them. You will also have the chance to chat with the TEDxUniversityofStrathclyde team to find out more about what it takes to host an outstanding Annual Ideas Conference and get to know us more.

Don’t Miss Out

Tickets are on sale now and you can get yours here! But hurry, tickets are limited this year so be sure to get yours.

You can watch all of our previous talks on our YouTube channel and our website.

Follow us on our social media channels Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn to keep up to date with what’s happening in the team and to follow us in the run-up to our 2021 Annual Ideas Conference – we look forward to welcoming you!

Thank you

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our generous sponsors and partners who have worked with us over the past 12 months. We couldn’t have done this without your support.
